Purchased a 23 TAOS yesterday and intend to put the camera from my Golf in it. Ordered this kit. Used it for the Golf install and worked like a champ. It does wire into the fuse box so the install may not be for everyone. Ran the wires up the A pillar and across the top of the glass

I don’t know how handy you are but I hired a car stereo guy to install it for $150. Works like a charm. There are more exoensive ones. The only complaint I have is the RoadCam app to download the videos kind of sucks.

Want to know how I did it? I tapped off the fuse relay with this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FXJD8W1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_t1_P2J4DRHQJG3YSD2AN1DR

ran it behind my dash, behind the stereo, behind the glove box and up the piller panel by the windshield. had it pop out from the headliner and my dash cam is on my windshield. I tapped off the lock controls since constant power is running through

my cam never stops running. And there is a unit on the harness that will turn off the cam if the cars battery is too low.

They make dash cam hardwire kits. You can supply put it in place for one of your fuses in the fuse box to power the camera. This kit may also work for a radar detector.

Many companies make kits that allow you to piggyback off of the 12v from your internal fuse box, so it's even easier than having to cut and splice wires in your car. If you pick the right fuse you'll be wired into an ignition source.

I still use the 12v outlet to power mine, but by pushing it into the headliner and into the gap between the windshield and A pillar it's basically unnoticeable.

Just in case you're like me and the idea of cutting into your car's wiring harness freaks you out.
