I would buy the cheapest Brother laser printer

This one is $110. It's wireless and has duplex printing.

For toner, you might be able to refill the original cartridge once or twice if you can find refills. There's youtube videos on this. If not you can get third party cartridges (like this) for a lot cheaper.
