So I noticed it is actually less expensive on the Microsoft website at $24.99. I actually found it for less on Amazon than the bot above. I will give it a try unless someone has an answer that works before I place an order Monday morning. Thank you for your help.
I'm sure it happens, but hiding fake products in commingled inventory just can't work on a large scale. The lawsuit doesn't really say anything about FBA sellers' commingled inventory. Just that they were selling fakes. Even the Xbox adapter you linked to has a FnSKU label, and therefore cannot be commingled. It's not even sold by Amazon directly at all.

And as far as I can see never was.

Fakes are a problem. Fakes sold by FBA sellers are a problem. I know of one other large scale scam where Amazon was selling counterfeit goods, but it had nothing to do with commingled inventory. Just that the vendor Amazon bought the inventory from sold counterfeits to Amazon directly.
There's a lot of fakes and other scams, but they're not being "smuggled" through commingling. And it's not some untraceable perfect crime if they are.
Just get the dongle, it's 20 bucks. Bluetooth never worked for me. Dongle is the best way to go.
