Thanks for the input! I pulled the trigger on the Midpines along with its footprint this morning after reading a little deeper into the still very limited description. It mentioned DAC DA17 poles, which from what I could tell, seem to be aluminum rather than fiberglass, which I didn't see again in tents this size until the $500-600+ mark... And as much as I like the idea of the giant vestibule on the Kelty Rumpus, which was my next top contender, I think not having the giant vestibule will be more versatile for the sake of fitting in smaller, less clear sites and easier/faster to set up and take down when just stopping for the evening and hitting the road again the next morning.
