1) Do you bake polymer clay? - yep! i have a cheap toaster oven that I use specifically for clay. I do not use the tray for any food, either. 2) What is the best kind/brand to buy? It depends on her skill level. Sculpy is softer, and easier for beginners to work with. Fimo is a bit tougher and great for the beginner/mid range artist. Premo and Cernit are both really tough, but are commonly used for the more professional artists. The reason being that the details and carved things aren't easily smooshed. 3) Where can I buy it? (amazon or other websites?) Check Micahels, Joanns, and Hobby Lobby - they all tend to rotate sells. I also get large lots off of Ebay for pretty cheap, and have scored hardcore using Craigslist List. Amazon might be okay, but I've never ordered off of there. Keep in mind that if your craft store honors sell prices, you should just be able to show them the price and they will honor it (if you want to go to the store).

4) Is there anything else that I should buy with it? I could go on and on, but my favorite things to use are here: 1. Conditioner machine 2. If not the machine above, definitely grab a roller of some sort for even rolls 3. a blade and maybe an exacto knife 4. Ebay a set of dental tools - these work great for sculpting and are much cheaper than getting clay tools 5. nail art dot tools 6. Cheap set of CHALK pastels and brushes - these are used to give sculptures shading and to vary the colors 7. The square and circle cutter sets that are over in the cake decorating section. There are like 3 or 4 different sizes in each cutter set. They help when making jewelry pendants and keeping size consistency. 8. a nail sorter like this I like the bigger drawers because I store my tools and my clay in mine, but they sell smaller ones that work well enough 9. amazing mold putty - mold maker that your gf can use to make molds of her jewelry or fingers (I recommend making a severed finger charm for Halloween - it's a big hit!) 10. Liquid Fimo clay - allows you to make liquid looking textures, image transfers, and acts as a glue 11. Triple Thick Glaze - Don't waste your money on the sculpy glaze. Triple thick is cheaper and works just the same.

edit: sorry for wall of text - I have no idea how to space apparently
