Pretty decent sound for the price. With Ukuleles, Makala to the Kala brand is kind of how the Squire is to the Stratocaster for guitars. So basically it's the beginner/cheaper version. My point in that being Kala is a pretty good brand and I bought my Uke from the same seller.
