Am behind the 8-ball on instant noodles as well! (They barely existed when I was in college.) But that's about to change. I recently Wish-Listed these.

Indomie Mi Goreng Instant Stir Fry Noodles, Halal Certified, Original Flavor, 3 oz, Pack of 30 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HXIXWKM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_0SA9590J50WAYG1AZJV9?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

It was this stuff. There was a story the other day about how the founder of this company died and how this stuff is super popular in Nigeria. I’d never even heard of it. Just tried it out today and it’s freaking delicious. Savory, garlicky, and a little spicy. Highly recommended if you are a ramen connoisseur

Amazon has a ridiculously good return/reimburse rate. Id just take my chances with whichever was best reviewed.

2057 reviews, five star rating, Amazon prime. Only a couple of bad reviews this year, most bad ones seem to be 2017.

These aren't soupy, but they taste good and are readily available at Woodman's (East side) or Yue Wah: https://www.amazon.com/Indomie-Instant-Noodles-Certified-Original/dp/B00HXIXWKM?th=1

No animal ingredients listed, and Amazon sleuths suggest that the preservatives are also plant-derived.
