The regular AT2020 is going for $99 right now
And the scarlett solo is $99 too
So altogether only $30 more than the rode. I haven't personally used it, but I've heard good things about Behringer and that's only $60
Recording to a click can be just as hard as playing against a metronome, except you will hear your rhythmic mistakes afterwards where you night not be listening to yourself as much with a metronome.
The other nice part about being able to record is that you can make demos that you would like to perform with other people, or record with a studio, or record cool riffs or licks you want to save for later.
A Scarlett Solo USB Audio Interface with Pro Tools | First https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01E6T56CM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_-sY6DbPSXN7R4) is right in your price range, but a Behringer could be just as good for most needs for less money.
I only need one XLR port for my purposes. I'm picking up a Scarlett Solo. Is the solo missing something that the 2i2 has instead?
