Front and rear camera, loop recording. Works best when installed hardwired with this kit on a always on circuit. I wired it off of the door locks.
That's so awesome being able to fly down there. I'm also driving all over the place just to drive since the charging is free hahaha. I don't get to charge at home so I charge every few days at the mall that's 3 miles away. It's on my way home from work or to anywhere I would normally go so it really works out. I can charge at work for really inexpensive as well if I ever needed and would cost a total of $20/mo which is a very cheap compromise. No range issues yet here either.
Yeah once I got back from NY I noticed a very small chip on the front bumper so I'm just gonna chalk it up as a loss in that department and keep maintaining as best I can. The paint is great other than that. Really sorry to hear about the parking lot accident. That's really, really sad.
For the Android box I ended up with this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09J8N3KLW/
I just keep it plugged into the USB port and haven't had any issues with 12v drain that I know of. My OBDII reader says my 12v battery is still fully charged and healthy although I don't know how accurate that is.
Someone else posted a thread about which dashcam they got and they went with this:

Although they connected theirs to a fuse that loses power when they turn the car off so I don't think theirs is set up to work like I want, which is basically Sentry mode. I have to do more research to see if it can be set up on an always active fuse and not kill the battery.
I know lots of people love the VanTrue? cameras and saw that they have a hardwire kit that won't kill the battery. Let me know if you find anything out about this duo:
