The link you provide dates from May 2018, so keeping fingers crossed that humankind made some progress the last 2 years. :) Thanks for sharing though. Also there are plenty of adapters/cables available that should support charging as well (eg. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WG91H2C/ ). Just don't want to buy a 3rd adapter without being sure it is going to work.
Keeping the bluetooth adapter as a backup plan, prefer not to have yet another device to charge with batteries in the car. Most of these bluetooth dongles charge via micro USB (not USB-C).
