If you buy the train set you linked, two of these and one of these you should be good to go. The only thing is you'll need to splice the wires from this and the red wire from the bachmann power pack (which is included with the train set) together and you should be good to go. That can be as simple as stripping the wires and twisting them together. Doesn't carry enough power 5o shock you or anything. Just make sure the wires don't short out. I suggest just wrapping them in electrical tape.
