If your scale is constantly fluctuating that much, odds are you just don't have it set up right. Should be on a flat hard surface, ideally left in the same spot.

I bought the eat smart precision 550 off Amazon. I like that it beeps loudly when it is done and the number stays up for a bit after you step off.
