Hey there, sorry for blowing up your inbox on such a late response but I just saw this and had recently been searching for something similar myself.
Here are my suggestions in order of what I think might be most useful to you. Hopefully one might work!
- Alpaka Hub Pouch: ~4.75" x ~3.5" x ~1" - Has internal organizing loops as you asked, closer in size to the Maxepdition Micro but a tad smaller.
- Bellroy Folio mini: ~4.5" x ~3.5" x 0.75" - Pretty expensive, but built very well, and has a magnetic opening pocket for coins but could be used for other small items in your carry (like the sim cards).
- 3 pocket zippered coin purse: ~4.3" x ~3.5" - I have this and use it for a similar use as you, carrying around a bunch of tiny things mostly organized. Much smaller and less bulky than a Maxpedition Micro. The long-term durability I question, but they are inexensive enough that if you like it you can buy several and stash them away.
- Chums surfshorts wallet: ~4.5" x ~3" - Similar to the previous, but in a different configuration and much more durable. It has several compartments and I've seen a few people on YouTube use it for small tool organization (like a nano pocket organizer). (I cannot find the first video I saw on this, but if I do find it I will share because they carried a similar set of tools as you would like.)
- Hobonichi drawer pouch (pocket): ~5" x 3.5" - This sounds like it might fit your organization bill although it can be a bit bulky even when empty.
- Gatura small pocket organizer: ~4.5" x ~3.7" x ~0.75" - Chunky, but still small, has several pockets to organize things. Opens like a clamshell.
- Zippered credit card wallet: ~4.5" x 3.25" x 1" - Basically a cheaper version of the Gatura, chunkier but with a smaller W x H factor.
ETA: I can't believe I forgot the Bellroy!
ETA2: Searching "compact wallet" or "front pocket wallet" might net you more similar results to the above.
