Yes, I understand. That’s why I linked to this charger that has a max 24 amps. It will only pull 24 amps. I’ve read good things about this on other forums.

Assuming this charger is only pulling 24 amps, hypothetically is should be safe?

If you have a dryer or stove you may already have a 220v. That’s what I did until I installed my 220v myself (depends on your local regulations if you can do it yourself). Was a bit awkward but my dryer is just inside the house off of the garage. Of course it’s still a good idea to have a level 1 anyways: even after you get the level 2, you can keep the level 1 in your car in case you need to V2L charge someone else. Whatever you get, I’d recommend buying it off of Amazon; far cheaper than the dealer. I got a Splitvolt charger, but that’s one of many options. I got this one, and it has worked great https://www.amazon.com/Splitvolt-Charger-Fastest-NEC-Safe-Charging/dp/B09QHHCH6C?ref_=ast_sto_dp&th=1

Ok so it’s not recommended using an adapter, that’s what I’m getting from your reply. So this outlet is a no go for charging the bolt?

Also, the dealer did say they are offering a $1000 install credit for home charging, would I have to go that route?

Or get something like this

So the adapter would be sufficient rather then getting something like this
