I'm personally using this case on my helmet https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JLLLMD2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. And depending on how you have your camera mounted, weight shouldn't be an issue. I switched helmets and am using just a J mount directly on my helmet with like and inch and a half of surface area and it holds up for a decent amount of time (trying to finally get it to hold forever like it does for everyone else who's done this). For pretty much anything else though I doubt weight will be an issue. My last helmet I had the curve mount slightly to the side of chin with links to bring it to POV location and the mount never moved. The case also supports 32mm lenses in case you wanna add an ND filter for using slower shutter speeds.
