Hi friend, that's a pretty wig! I've worn wigs big and small for tons of events and raves for several years. Your friends are:
If your hair is freshly washed, spray it with a bit of hairspray after you pull it back and before you put it into the wig cap (keeps everything in place a bit more than slippery, freshly-washed hair). Make sure that the elastic in back is tight enough and that all the clips sewn into the wig are in tight. Secure with bobby pins, as many as you need so you can whip your head around and it doesn't feel like it's slipping anywhere (this is why the net wig cap is helpful). Finally, apply a liberal amount of spirit gum and stick that lace down. Avoid wearing foundation on your forehead, but if you want to I'd apply after the spirit gum is dry.
Also, when putting the wig on DO NOT put your head down and then flip it on, it will fuck up the wig. Instead, hold the wig upright and from behind your head place it on your forehead first and then pull it down the back of your head.
Most importantly is preparing for the fact that your head might hurt! So try and keep a bag or the wig net on your person to take it off if you tap out.
Hope that helps! :)
