I got this one and am happy with it. Assembly took maybe five minutes, first-time install another three or four minutes, subsequent removals and installs even less.

Get seatback protectors for your Outback's cargo area (about 90 bucks). Not only will this prevent the dog from scratching or chewing on the carpet-like fabric that's there now, but you'll spend way less time painstakingly plucking dog hairs from the backs of the seats. That carpet cloth stuff is a ridiculous hair magnet.

Congrats on the puppy. German shepherds are lovely. I have one myself, a gorgeous two-year-old boy.
