Hello all,

I recently was given a pair of Gallo Nebula Reference II speakers which used to belong to my father. He used to own a high end audio store in Los Angeles, and they've been sitting in storage for several decades. After speaking with a Gallo representative, I've come to understand that they're quite rare and valuable, though I have no intention of selling them due to their sentimental value to me.

Now, while I do work in entertainment, I know next to nothing about hi-fi audio, and would really appreciate any advice you might have for me.

Here's a gallery of all the relevant photos: https://imgur.com/a/ttTkMyF

(Yes, I know I shouldn't put them in the corner with hard walls and all that. I've got a small space and I've intend to put up acoustic insulation.)

And here's the documentation for the closest model that the Gallo rep was able to find. Apparently these speakers are so old elusive, the company itself doesn't have any records. https://drive.google.com/file/d/16wdsY7SwY7hdMwqrKqA5l3ntFw_Q-4Gm/view?usp=sharing

My father had an amp stored with the speakers. Also pictured in the above gallery.

Now, my questions: It seems like this amp is supposed to be used with the speakers (and I remember it being used, but my memories from my childhood are fuzzy). However, looking at the documentation for the Solo reference (not the same thing), it lists the 8 ohm power needs at 300 watts, which seems... really high. And the amp that I have lists its wattage as "50", which seems really low. I don't want to damage these speakers by underpowering them, does anyone have any suggestions if what I already have here is compatible? And if not, any ideas what kind of amp I should get?

And I don't yet have any speaker cables. I don't know what kind of connector these speakers use. Banana? And I see balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA. Is this what I need (these make no mention of gauge though, and the reviews are terrible)? https://www.amazon.com/Speaker-Gold-Plated-Amplifier-Subwoofer-Mixer-2M/dp/B08HWLPF3S

A note about quality: I realize I'm doing these beautiful speakers a terrible disservice by trying to use them in my 10'x13' office. And I'm just using them with my desktop computer. Eventually I may be in a better space, and get a quality pcie audio card, etc. But for now, I'm just looking for "good."

Thank you so much for your help!

Edit: Here is the manual for the similar Solo Nucleus that the Gallo rep sent me: https://drive.google.com/file/d/16wdsY7SwY7hdMwqrKqA5l3ntFw_Q-4Gm/view?usp=sharing
