I have a couple Manfrotto tripods that I like. Get one with a horizontal column so you can shoot from overhead. For example this one. Here's a blog which reviews a few different models. For lights, it depends on material type. For products like you showed above (primarily plastic / soft edges) , a combination of diffuse softboxes (something along these lines) is a good start, if you are shooting metallic objects, large LED or fluorescent panels work better. Getting best results for different material types requires different lights and lighting setup.
Use photoshop and bridge, and also get software so you can connect your camera to your laptop and use remote shooting mode from your laptop. I do not know what software works with your camera model but you can google it or maybe the appropriate software came with it on a disc.
Where would the light be placed to create that effect??? She shot it on her Cannon t6i and the new lighting kit is Fancierstudio Lighting Kit 2400 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0047FHOWG/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_nzQCDbYPPNCFV
Hey guys! So I decided to upgrade my cheap Amazon lighting kit to something with diffusers and more bulbs. I'm 6'4" ~241lbs. Diet-wise I conditioned myself to under ~50 grams of carbs a day for 2 weeks with 3 gallons of water a day (ouch). Then 24 hours prior I carb loaded and basically dehydrated myself to pull out any hydration under the skin. Thanks for all the advice and photo tips from my last shoot! It really helped showing off my strengths. I've attached a couple more photos that my girl took, plus a photo that displays my height. Any more tips for next time would be appreciated!
