You can probably play the game but the Amazon fire tablets don't have the play store out of the box .. but you can install the APK with no issues But I don't know how well it would run in the hardware. And with just the APK. You would not have access to VIP purchasing.

Buuuuut good news you can install the Google play services and store and download stuff afterwards

So no APK meddling if you go route 2
