did you check the mounting bracket? can you move it by hand? I find fans that use the standard mounting bracket like this https://www.amazon.com/Black-Canopy-Bracket-Ceiling-Accessories/dp/B08J8GNYVQ tend to wobble more and that sometimes makes the ceiling canopy rub on the ceiling drywall and also make clicking noises. any fan that uses a mounting bracket like this will avoid most of those noises. https://www.amazon.com/Fanimation-SCK1-52WH-Sloped-Ceiling-Tortoise/dp/B008N7MI02 as the brackets has 360 degree contact with the ceiling it wont move like a standard bracket will in the event of a electical box that isnt mounted correctly or super tight (happens quite alot even in new construction) If you find a good non smart ceiling fan that has a remote you could also get something like he Bond Bridge to convert it to a smart fan.
