I've noticed that the Amazon "Made in Italy" page for "Stovetop Espresso & Moka Pots" which I got to from clicking on the link "Coffee, Tea & Espresso", which I got to from clicking on "Kitchen & Dining", which I got to from clicking on "Home and furniture Made in Italy" which I saw on the "Made in Italy" store on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/b?node=19207856011 has the brand names "Alessi", "Ilsa", "Giannini", and "Pedrini" (the "La Conica" by Aldo Rossi is listed on the Alessi website, so I'm not giving it a seperate mention) mentioned, but then again, they also had "Bialetti" mentioned, and you said that they recently moved their manufacturing to China, but maybe the stock that Amazon has sitting in their warehouses are the ones that were made in Italy? That's just a guess. Maybe they just haven't updated their page yet.
Ack! When I tried clicking from their "Made in Italy" page all the way down to the "Stovetop Espresso & Moka Pots", all I got was a Bialetti blister funnel in stainless steel, 5cm! Then, when I click on "Coffee, Tea & Espresso", all I get is the same blister funnel was well as five Alessi teapots! Very strange.
I guess you'll just have to do your own research into the following brands if you want a brand new, never-been-used one (I don't know anything about the 9bar one mentioned by Ellusive1).
