If you change your mind about clear cases.. Spigen Ultra Hybrid. Survived a few drops from my son playing Pokemon Go.. and a few from me. :)

I'm usually a fan of cutout buttons, and this one does not have them, but button pressing is solid on this.

Alright here is my strategy for accessories and getting prep.

As I ordered from Google Fi, I will have a 50% discount on accessories - that could change a bit my strategy (not much on cases, but on the dual Type-C charger)

First of all, I got a few USB micro to USB type-c adaptors

This way, I am covered to charge with my current cables and my 4,000mhA Moto slim battery that is micro USB. Until there is something as big (capacity) and as slim with type-C, I will use the adapter with the battery. I won't care about fast charge, I will just care about getting more juice.

Cases / Sleeves

My SO got her 6S+ recently, so I have been able to have a good feel for the size. She has put a very thin TPU transparent case on it and I think that's the way to go for me too, with a sleeve.

  • I will get something slim like this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NTQ2NNE but might not be that one - I think I want cuts for the side buttons
  • then a sleeve. Anything for the N6P or the 6+/6S+ as dimensions are the same - there are a bunch on www.Etsy.com that are cool (leather / jeans material). I am not sure I want to get a cheap one for $10 for the time being, as I rather put that money towards a better quality one, considering that for this item, it will be my own judgement, not reviews will help.

Also, I think I will get

Cables

For now I think with what comes in the box I should survive 2 to 3 weeks before making a decision or wait for new products / new reviews etc... With the 2 news Nexus, the Xiaomi 4c, the announcement of the S7 having Type-C, I think there will be a lot of momentum on the Type-C side over the next 2 months. Better quality, better prices, more products, etc...

  • FIRST OF ALL, I will only get USB Type-C 3.0/3.1 cables in order to future proof these acquisitions. I know the N6P is only 2.0 but I don't want to have to update a few cables in a few months in case I would get a new device that has 3.0/3.1
  • In my car, I think for now I will stick with my micro USB cable fitted with an adapter. Type-C 2m / 6feet cables are expensive for what they are, I can survive with an adapter for now - I rarely need fast charge in the car as after driving I tend to be at home / work / friends, so I can use my wall charger to better fast charge.

Charger

  • At some point I'll get a fast charger for the car but I am going to way a bit for newer products to fully convince me - it seems that there is only 1 charger with 3A output on Amazon right now
  • I work from home right now so no need for a 2nd fast charger, but when I'll need one, perhaps the dual Type-C from Google with the 50% off from Fi, but that will still be $20. For that amount, there might be better item out there in a couple of weeks.

Stand / Dock / Cradle

  • As I am not going to use the inclined wireless charger on my desk anymore (too bad...), I am going to get a stand directly for Type-C or one you can fit a cable in. I had find one a couple of days ago but I cannot find it anymore. It was on Aliexpress I think. Anyway, there was only one...

[Update]

Camera Lens

As the camera is said to be amazing, and as smartphone lenses have become better in quality, I might buy some to check it out - specially interested in the wide angle ones

My 6P just came in today. I ordered this cheap one until my Spigen comes in on the 12th. I am honestly not sold on any of the cases I have seen. I really like the Spigen Thin Fit but I am worried about it not covering the top or bottom.
