Just because you take a multivitamin doesn't mean you aren't deficient. Unless you're horking down 6+ of them a day, they almost certainly don't give you enough magnesium, a mineral in which the majority of people in westernized countries are deficient. Your multi probably doesn't give you 5,000 IU / day of Vitamin D, the other nutrient in which most people are deficient.
Take 2x of these Vit D3 + K2 per day, in the morning, for 2 weeks, then reduce to 1x / day. Also take 2x of these magnesium glycinate every day at night, plus another 1x anytime you have an extra strong urge to take a daytime nap. Also check that your multivitamin is a good source of iron. If not, and if you also don't eat much red meat, throw in 1x iron bisglycinate per day in the morning.
Oh I think I need to clarify this in the original post.
For the D3, it was meant to be more than a 1000 IU, not mcgs. The B12 is more than 1000mcgs. I started by using this supplement for the D3, which has 100mcgs. Normal D3 supplements usually have between 5 and 25mcgs.
I will edit my post!
This answer is entirely reasonable. However, just to cover all bases, nutritional deficiency is also plausible, especially as amphetamines are known for increasing the likelihood of various nutritient deficiencies. If OP isn't already, I'd be supplementing with a good multivitamin and 5000 IU of Vitamin D per day.
But, also still see an ophthalmologist.
Dont forget to take the K2 component so that Vit D goes to the bones instead of overload of kidneys. Here is the Vit D I am taking: Vitamin D + K2
