It's things like this that've stopped me from buying from Amazon much at all anymore.
I've never understood people having trouble with Amazon.
Unless you're buying an Amazon Essential, you're just buying another company's product, and that company is using Amazon to display their products and for fulfillment.
I assume OP bought it from the Thunderworks Games store: https://www.amazon.com/Thunderworks-Games-Cartographers-Roll-Player/dp/B07PDNNLGR. If there's a problem, it has nothing to do with Amazon, they aren't packing the box or anything. But Amazon will make it super easy for OP to return the product.
Honestly, I don't know why people don't use Amazon to get games. I bought a game from a different company because it wasn't on Amazon or on any other online store - it's been 3 weeks, and they just emailed me saying that the game I bought was actually out of stock. Currently trying to get my money back.
With Amazon, I can buy directly from the publisher's store on Amazon, and get my game within a couple days, with free shipping and no problems at all. Even my LFGS has a storefront on Amazon, so I can support them too.
