Hi all,
I feel like my room lacks some "pops of color" and also a general sense of cohesion. I have a few different color schemes going on, all of them neutral (which I always gravitate toward, but ends up looking kind of boring in the end), and I'd like to incorporate a single color (possibly a dark one) to make the room look more polished and tied together.
What color do you think would go nicely with the room, and can you suggest specific items to add it to the room with (cushions, blankets, etc.)? I won't be in this apartment for much longer, so don't pay too much attention to the light blue color on the walls. I suspect a darker color might be nice to bring everything together in a sea of lights/neutrals, but I'm not sure.
I'm thinking either a dark green (https://www.amazon.com/TREELY-Blanket-Tassels-Textured-Decorative/dp/B088R4GL6N/ref=sr_1_27?dchild=1&keywords=dark%2Bgreen%2Bthrow%2Bblanket&qid=1607460144&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011&rnid=2470954011&rps=1&sr=8-27&th=1) or dark navy (https://www.amazon.com/TREELY-Blanket-Tassels-Textured-Decorative/dp/B088R4GL6N/ref=sr_1_27?dchild=1&keywords=dark%2Bgreen%2Bthrow%2Bblanket&qid=1607460144&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011&rnid=2470954011&rps=1&sr=8-27&th=1) throw blanket would look nice.
Low budget. Under $100 for everything if possible. I'd love to add an interesting rug under my bed, but I know that will break the budget alone (why are rugs so expensive??), so I'd like to figure out how to do this via other means: maybe a throw blanket, a piece of artwork, etc.? Maybe a smaller/narrow rug at the foot of the bed, since those size rugs cost much less (the clean look of a rug like this https://www.amazon.com/Well-Woven-Mystic-Geometric-Distressed/dp/B08161YYZY/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=well+woven+mystic&qid=1607453971&s=home-garden&sr=1-6 or https://smile.amazon.com/Well-Woven-Geometric-Scandinavian-Triangle/dp/B07S2KTCBV?ref_=ast_sto_dp, but way cheaper, might look nice). Any ideas are welcome.
My main issue is always that I have a hard time picking one scheme/idea and sticking with it (and as a result, I end up choosing only neutrals, or just putting together a bunch of mismatched stuff that looks really unpolished), so I'd like to finally fix that with your guys's help!
