If you want a recommendation, I got this Caseology case in the mail yesterday from Amazon. It's very very nice.

I am using this one... not bad. Sturdy, bit bulky. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08C7CG497/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I would think that the phone is just as durable as the rest, however the back is made of plastic instead of glass like the rest of the 20 series phones so the back of the phone isn't susceptible to shattering.
As for the touch screen issues, as long as you don't do anything that often requires more than 3 fingers on the screen at a time, you should be fine. However in my case, the phone became borderline unusable when charging, registering double touches when I tried to simply slide my finger around the screen. I haven't heard anyone else talking about that issue though.
As for the case, I recommend either the Otterbox Commuter or the Caseology case
I personally returned my phone and got the regular S20, but I can see how plenty of people could use the phone without complaint and how some won't even notice there are issues.
