Does that laptops video card have a usb C VR port...because you migth be able to circumvent all of this by getting a vr adapter and plugging right into the usbc port? I'm using one of these on my pc's 2070 https://www.amazon.com/Accell-J231C-008B-3-USB-C-VR-Adapter/dp/B07LC4B43P/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=vr+adapter&qid=1577845927&sr=8-4 it also makes for a great extension cable.....edit: doesn't look like it does though.
