- Amazon is full of single screen cases. I have one of the slimline TPU clear cases, my partner has a 3 piece case that seems bulky to me. There are lots of sub $15 slim cases on Amazon and I imagine that they are all pretty similar. It's huge phone so I prefer any of the slim cases for easier pocketability. The one I picked up has a place to attach a small leash at one corner which I liked.
-There are no dual screen cases, to my knowledge. The dual screen is considered the case.
-I HATE plastic film screen protectors so I tried using a tempered glass protector on the main screen. It is just a bit too thick for the dual screen to close entirely (just enough of a gap that the magnets wouldn't engage while closed) and that was without any protector on the dual screen yet. I worried that this would ruin the hinge with regular use so I pulled the glass protector off and put it on the outer glass of the dual screen case. I got a 6 pack of Super Shield brand film protectors from Amazon pretty cheap and they fit well. I just hate how the plastic grabs every single fingerprint and bit of grunge...they ALWAYS look and feel gross. They are hard to clean and even if you get them clean, they quickly get greasy again (even with the super clean, dry hands the pandemic has blessed me with. If anyone has found any screen protectors that fit with the dual screen on and that DONT grab fingerprints so badly, PLEASE share them with us!
-Just because of the way the case works, I'm guessing it would just be unfeasible to create some kind of case for the case. Some folks in this sub have shared templates to cut your own vinyl protector for the outer glass if you have a cricut or a steady cutting hand.
-While I haven't sent my phone skittering across a parking lot or anything, it has taken a few spills in the house and a couple rolls around the floor of the car and seems no worse for the wear. The dual screen bit is undoubtedly fragile compared to the main body of the phone, but it's not so delicate that it will likely break if it slides off your couch or something. I mean, I definitely just use a slim case if I'm out hiking or kayaking and taking pictures, but for day to day use at home, in the car, and at work, it seems sturdy enough...just don't push your luck. There are also lots of pictures of broken outer glass in this sub.
-These have just been my experiences with the phone over the last few months, others have undoubtedly found other solutions and I'm very interested to hear other's experiences.
-Enjoy your new dual screen! I've found mine FAR more useful than I'd have ever guessed.
