mossgreg wallet case and iloome screenmate. screenmate is a no brainer and I will be getting one on every future phone. vastly increases the value of other cases which don't have front covers. the rubber housing on the mossgreg case reminds me of an orange parking code. have not yet dropped it in several months. Also have a neon green Fintie Commander which was on sale many months ago at $6.99 with free shipping. Well worth it, although some may call it "sticky" rubber and is admittedly not great for pants pockets on a warm day. Winter, I love it. I've gotten many compliments and with the iloome screenmate, it's one of my favorite cases! Have tried tech21 and the amount of the funky orange stuff they put in the case is so minimal it seems closer to a marketing ploy than a respectable protective case. Just felt cheap (and slippery). Also didn't allow my headphones (neither do the mossgreg or fintie but popping half the phone out of the mossgreg is very easy when I want to plug in a fat 8mm audio cable and listen to audio in the car). I have a seidio dilex and while attractive, does not give as much as protection my current setup with the mossgreg and screenmate. I tried otterbox in the store, and it was ugly (imo) and a supreme pain in the butt to assemble. Anywho...

This, after trying several, is the best case I have found. I use an iloome screenmate screen protector with it and it feels rock solid. The wallet case can be flipped inside out and the cover operates as a horizontal stand perfectly. The rubber that the phone slips in is most similar to a construction cone and, like I said, it's rock solid. Never had any concern dropping it from waist or ear height. Of course, I've never dropped it, either ;) Anyway, I bought three of them. It appears they have 2 colors -- light and dark leather. The lighter leather models appear to hold up better (6 weeks of use with the black version showed fraying on the corners but 4 months now with the lighter brown one shows the corners in perfect condition). Fucking love this case. works great as a wallet, as well. Just don't sit on your phone. I also recommend not using the case unless you have a screen protector on it because credit cards will rub in the same place on the screen and possible give it a mark. Anyway, fucking love this case. Have tried the Dilex (own it and never use it) and the Fintie Commander, which is also awesome, but doesn't touch the utility of the mossgreg. Woot!

I got one of these a while and am incredibly happy with it. So happy, I've since gotten 2 more just in case they stop making them. The protective rubber housing reminds me of the rubber used for orange construction cones. I use an iloome screenmate with it and it's rock solid. And functional. Real leather. Stitching holds up fine for everyday use. It appears there are two versions currently. Previously, the darker one had a harder and slimmer rubber housing and, in my opinion was better (you could not see the bumper easily from the sides). When I got the two extra ones a month or so ago, they are lighter in color and the rubber bumper is fatter and sort of protrudes from the side when there are cards in the case. Separately, the model with the clip/snap seems to be new. Search around for mossgreg note 3 on amazon and see if you can find the basic one. My preference is the darker but they appear to only have them in stock sometimes.

congrats, dude. I'll be returning my seidio dilex/active because it's just not practical. The entire lower face, when holding it upright, is unprotected. one solid drop on the face where the battery charging port is will, in my mind, make the screen explode -- even with a screen protector. The rubber isn't enough. I like the fintie defender (esp for the price) but it's goddamn solid and I just got a mossgreg wallet case which has surprised me quite a lot insofar as the rubber housing for the phone is sturdier than expected and will likely offer more cumulative protection than the seidio.

GSAM shows per-app battery usage very well.

I agree about the white accessories -- tacky. Keep an eye on your battery cause it may be a physical issue.

changing the LCD density to 320 in the build prop file is an immediate route to a pretty damn full tablet experience.

Andoird Tuner Free has many valuable features.

Enjoy it, dude.

Cheers!

I know it's a form you loathe, but I ended up getting 3 of these over the course of a few months because I liked the first one so much and I thought they were gonna sell out. No regrets. This phone will be useful for 10 year at a minimum. Used with the iloome screenmate, the case is nearly perfect for me. Holds 4 cards fine and a couple bills.

I flip the whole thing inside out to take calls, and that works well for me. there are 2 versions of the case -- light and dark. Dark has better leather quality in my exp and won't fray at the corners after turning inside out a few hundred times. flipping it inside out also lets the cover act as a pretty damn reliable stand. the rubber housing that holds the phone itself is most similar to the rubber in a parking cone. That's the only way I can describe it. This is the most confident I've been with a case and, go figure, I haven't even dropped it yet.

If you get it, get a screen cover because the rubbing of the cards affects the surface minimally. There's a rub mark where the top-most card touches the screen in my pocket. Not an issue. I love this setup. Favorite evarrrrrr.
