i found one of those connectors from an electronics parts company out in the midwest two nights ago $1.34 and $2.50 total shipped .. so i got one coming .. gonna try my luck fixing it

I have really bad experiences with this stuff.. heh I make the connections too tight.. like on baluns i think i have eaten 3 of them so far... I come from a time back when there were crush crimp connectors and i would always have leaky connections so i had a thing for cranking them down.. today with the waterproof ones its not such an issue if you do it right
