You have to stick the hose to the inner cover, regular household vacuums just aren't powerful enough to suck down the sacs unless you have one of the extremely expensive household vacuums like Sebo, Kenmore or Miele.

Best thing you can do is go to your local Home Depot(they will take back used products no questions asked for free) and get a 5.5hp shop vac or order the Vacmaster Professional on Amazon(use it then return it for free) I used the VacMaster to suck down the SuperSac in less than 15 minutes.
