Anyway, I like my Moto X4 just fine, and the charger is adequate, but I was disappointed with the chintzy OEM charging cord. I bought a 2-pack of "military grade" Type-C braided charging cables on Amazon, and they're working great. The charging rate is just as fast or faster than the cord that was included with the phone.
I bought a pack of two 6.6 ft cables in 2018, brand name is JSAUX. I have an S9 and I've been using the cables ever since with the original power brick - no issues at all (hopefully I haven't jinxed it). Really great quality, and they have that 'hard(er)' plastic/rubber support around the cable ends to avoid bending and/or fraying.
