We purchased the Geri box looking one with IR luminators, and didn't like the lens/view. We ended up putting one of these in our bumper and it is lovely. Has a great field of view even with a 35" tire mounted in the spare spot. Highly recommend this one.

If you haven’t checked out the tacomaworld forums, go there first. I never do anything without checking there because those guys have done it all and included how-to write ups with pictures. I wish there was a resource as good as this for everything in my life. If you’re not a member, go join now.

The module uses stock steering wheel controls, that’s what I like most about it. As long as you have the right entune version stereo. I think this company makes a module that will control more cameras if you wanted side cameras as well.

I bought a couple cheap cameras for up front and used the one that was the easiest install. I did this in 2020 when I got the truck new and 35000 miles later my front camera died a few weeks ago. I think it got hit by a rock because it would still turn on but I wasn’t getting picture and it looked like the lens was broken. I was able to look back at my Amazon history and buy the same camera for $15 and change it out in 10 minutes because the wiring and mounts were all the same - I just screwed on the new camera.
