So, they were $10 for 15 candies and they took a week or two to come in. I decided to try the coffee flavor first.
Honestly, I quite like them, and it's worth noting I am NOT a hard candy fan at all - I'm much more a chewer as opposed to a sucker. (oh the innuendo) These have a very mild flavor to start, pleasantly but not overly sweet though I have a huge sweet tooth and probably would've liked a stronger sweetness. When I get impatient and crunch in, the taste gets really strong. There were only 15 or so in the bag and I didn't want to go through them quickly so I haven't tested the dreaded "sugar free gummy bear" effect. But I had 4 while uploading pictures and writing this post so I'll let y'all know in a bit if that changes.
The verdict: Probably will try other flavors, and will use this as a very occasional treat given the high price point (though I'm trying to find it elsewhere as Amazon does tend to have higher prices than other places when it comes to these speciality items). Might look into their other products as well, if I can find them. Company seems to be a Japanese version of Walden Farms, I think.
