its a good kit, I personally would pass on something that doesnt have an LCD of some kind. being able to display information you download from the internet, is like a super power with these devices. I would also find it lacking IR receiver/led - being able to set up a remote controller is great
it really depends on what your goals are though - ESP micro controllers or programming or basic electronics. that kit is good for all three. if your goal is more basic electronics, consider arduino kits which will have a simpler microcontroller but a wider array of electronics parts and project ideas - something like this - https://www.amazon.com/Smraza-Ultimate-Breadboard-Detailed-Tutorial/dp/B01L1XRUKW/ gives you DC motor, servo, etc
if you're leaning microcontrollers / embedded systems programming - M5 Stick C is a great way to get started, with a ton of built in functionality
