I own the k-bit knife.
It's alright. I'd say the worst thing about it is the chisel grind.
However it is as ergonomic as it looks. I made it even more comfortable by taking de-threaded paracord and wrapping it around the knife. Feels like a dream.
I paid 30 for mine, 40 seems a little too much. But that is just me. With 40 you can get a BK14 with change: http://www.amazon.com/Ka-Bar-BK14-Becker-Knife-Eskabar/dp/B004CIQY6K/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1390496053&sr=8-1&keywords=bk14
