I’ve been working on my DIY decor for months, and finally had enough of it collected and made that I decided to take it on a field trip today to our venue. We are having our ceremony and reception in the same space at a public park. I figured no one would be around on a cold February day in the middle of the week, so I had the whole park to myself to play around with it!
The tables weren’t set the way we would have them, so the backgrounds are off from what we will have on the day, but I love how it all turned out! I’ll put links to what I used in each section to help keep this at 10k.
The first pictures are of the fireplace that will be our altar. We’re not lighting the fire or the candles (I’m scared of embers hitting my tulle covered dress and catching myself on fire), so I’m thinking of how to hang glass globes with tea lights inside to fill the gap. Also if anyone has ideas on how to cover the soot inside, I’m all ears.
Pictures 3-6 are the table settings for the guests. They are two 6ft tables that are pushed (and chained) together to make 12ft tables with 12 place settings. There will be 8 of these tables. Picture 7 is the end of the tables that will face the aisle that I will walk down to the alter. Pictures 8-9 are the sweetheart table. The center will be where my bouquet lays after the ceremony to use as a centerpiece.
I’m so thrilled with how it came out and it was such a great feeling to see all my work come together exactly how my mind envisioned it!
