"The Magical Brain Story" (link here https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0987V983K) has been a real help in my home. When my kid was about 1 and he started having tantrums, I was lost about what to do. Firstly I was lost because I used to have these tantrums as a kid, and even if I was 30+ when my own child went through this period, I was basically at the same level with him when I experienced "big feelings."

I knew this wasn't right and I started reading stellar authors like Dan Siegel and Laura Markham, I explored attachment parenting theories etc. So I knew the best thing for me and for my little boy would be for him to understand how his brain works and why he's having those tantrums.

I don't know if you guys remember this from your own childhoods or not, but I do. I remember feeling so lonely and out of control, I remember feeling scared that I couldn't stop hitting my parents or that I couldn't stop crying, but at the same time I wanted to punish them for not being able to help.

So technically I wrote The Magical Brain Story. It's on Amazon now, but I will send the mobi file to anyone who wants it for free. If it helps you and you like the book, you can get it on Amazon too to support me.

If not, that's ok because I wrote the book mostly for me and my kid at first anyway, so that we could have this memory. I didn't have the money to pay a professional illustrator so I made all the drawings too :))

Then, a few of my son's friends (now aged 4.5 yo) discovered this book in my library and they really liked it, though I bet kids that age would like everything. Anyway, I loaned this book to two of them and their parents who are sort of friends confessed that before reading this they would really get mad and lose their temper when their kids were tantruming, but now they understand both their kids and their own reactions.

That's when I decided to make an ebook out of it and put it on Amazon because I've had some support from a local group too and I basically want to give back to the community of parents.

So, if you want the free mobi, PM me.

I've already written the next book in this series and it's about explaining your triggers and past traumas to your kids. Basically, it's explaining to them how your brain works.
