You make a great point. I don't believe it will be very common, but I would like to have the option. It's not a problem until it's a problem.
During my 500 mile trip, I was unable to charge at one location during (due to the 208v issue) the second leg became very tight (range wise). Having a charger with this flexibility would have saved me lots of anxiety and stress.
I actually went ahead and ordered the following L1/L2 charger: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08Y7G3ZKK It let's you manually select your amperage which is great. The manufacturer also confirmed it works on 208v as well.
I also ordered an adapter that let's you plug it into a standard outlet: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B29M9HSH
This should cover me in all the scenarios I outlined above.
I agree that the included Nissan L2 charger is fantastic, but this should give me a bit more flexibility.
