I bought this for my husband who feels the same way about mint toothpaste. He likes it, I tried it myself for science and it was definitely very different from other toothpaste. My mouth felt clean when I was done but any residual flavor from the toothpaste disappeared almost instantly. It was like “normal” mouth but better, if that makes sense.
