I have the same issue w/ one of my keys, the physical key goes in, but doesn't lock. So if I hold it by just the keyring, the rest of the key just falls (if it bounces/swings around enough)!

I have been looking at covers: https://www.amazon.com/Royalfox-Luxury-Smart-Buttons-Keychain/dp/B07L5SGWGD/ Something like this would cover the entire key and allow you to use a keyring. Let me know if you end up buying something similar.
