I bought 3 of these at $10 each when the Nexus 5 came out and they all still work perfectly with my S7 after a couple years. I waited patiently for a phone upgrade that included wireless charging because I was hooked on it after the Nexus 5. I'll hopefully never own another phone without wireless charging. It's the biggest reason why I didn't stick with the Nexus brand after owning the 4 and 5.
I find the convenience to be the biggest draw. I have one by my bed, one at my computer desk at home, and one at my desk at work. I don't have to bother with cables falling back behind my desk or just on the floor or anything. I don't even have to look, I just put my phone down in the same spot. Aside from the convenience, the charging port and cables themselves are probably never going to stop working with wireless charging. My wife has gone through like 3 Apple brand charging cables for her iPhone since I started using wireless charging and now her phone's port is finicky as well.
Some people are going to say that it's not useful or that it's gimmicky, but I'm convinced that those people havent tried wireless charging for any extended period of time. I still have my fast charger ready to go if i need it since it is many times faster than wireless, but I hardly ever do since most times when I put my phone down, it's charging, so it rarely drops below 75%. Wireless charging has become a serious selling point in a phone to me, and I would never willingly give it up.
TL;DR: wireless charging is absolutely amazing in my opinion, but I would go with multiple cheaper ones instead of a $40 samsung one.
