Makes sense. Here's more information. The support agreement says that we will split royalties from any book created based upon a podcast adventure amongst the people who were involved in that adventure. The agreement exists because it's good to have consensus before getting started that members aren't due royalties from works derived from episodes they weren't involved in.
Example: A person who appeared in episode 412 isn't due royalties from a book based upon episode 723.
Example of one of our books: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B095MJH24K
The royalties from that book go to the people who played characters in it, DM'd it, wrote the book, made the book cover, etc. People who were not involved aren't due any royalties, as per the support agreement they signed. Being in episode 101 doesn't mean you get royalties from a book based on episode 102.
Do our books make a ton of money? Nope, not at all. Most months we have zero books sales, and dividing the royalties of $0 is $0. But I see no reason not to have the infrastructure in place to allow people to turn their favorite podcast adventures into books if that makes them happy. The support agreement makes that possible. Who knows; if we get popular maybe those books will sell one day? *shrugs* If it happens, it's got a solid foundation.
