You can easily get an adapter like this one to convert from USB C to USB A. Just make sure it supports USB 3 protocol (like the one I linked). As /u/Slayerskott says, USB 3 is the max speed (needed for all that juicy VR data), and USB C is the oval connector type. You can run USB 3 over a USB A connector (the rectangular one) if the cable supports it.
(Note that the adapter I linked only gives USB 3 speed in one orientation, if the USB C cable is upside down it will only give USB 2 speeds.)
As an alternative, you can buy a new USB A to USB C cable that supports USB 3. I think a few generic versions that have been tested compatible with Link are listed here.
