Using this one, bought about 2 weeks ago. Good so far.
Also, these ones are good as well but bit more expensive.

Edit. If you are going to do Uber Ride, they I think Venture is better for you cuz it records inside as well.
I appreciate the info. I got the Rove R2 dashcam from amazon.
It has mini usb (in dashcam) to USB (in car) with an optional DC adapter to plug the usb into.
I will try out the tests as you recommended. I tried the DC port, and i believe it stayed hot regardless of the car being on or in ACC.
Would be nice if my car had a setting to choose if the USB ports stay hot after car turns off :)
That is exactly why I switched cameras to this one:

You will need a SD card purchased separately but it’s works every time the car turns on. Can easily connect to wifi if you ever need to as well.
Not what you asked, but can recommend the Rove R2-4K: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074JT3698
Feed it power and it's good. Records everything to a micro-SD card should you ever need it and everything is GPS stamped with time, location and speed. No cloud or privacy stuff to worry about because it doesn't connect to the net. Wire it to switched 12V and it runs any time the car is on. I think I can get 8 hours of 1080 on a 32Gig card. If something interesting happens, press a button and it will save that slice of video from being overwritten.
I have it mounted behind the rearview mirror on the RAV and wired into the upper console. Hardly know it's there. If you want the video from the cam, it's easy to pull the SD card and transfer it to a PC.
They change so much. Head over to Dash Cam Talk For great advice. I recommend one with out any battery the summer kills them. Minimum 4k and can hold a big memory card. Of you run 2 batteries in you truck the parking monitor feature is nice.
I still use these
