Excuse my English I'm not a native speaker but I will try to share this with you:
I had a similar issue at first, then I purchased memory foam tips which work OK when just doing regular activities that don't imply bending or sudden moves like jumping, etc. I also purchased an anti-lost strap which comes with a soft silicone grab for each bud, while I can say they help with some grabbing characteristics due to the individual silicon cover, the strap was not that comfortable, so I decided to cut the strap and leave the soft cover for each bud.
As you said, anything that is added to these buds won´t let them charge properly, but the benefit I found in using that soft silicone stuff is bigger than the border of 2 minutes I expend after and before using them (putting on-putting off the mini covers). I use those only when I go biking or when making intense exercise and I have to say that the buds stay in place for hours with no problem.
Finally, after some time, I notice that I found a better way to use them without the silicon stuff (that is because they feel more comfortable, especially if I know I am going to use them for more than 2 straight hours) by fit the buds with a 30° (approx) rotation backward movement and also using one of my fingers to pull out a little piece of the ear so it can have a total grab of the external side of the bud.
Anti lost strap: People complain that they have low quality. I can say that I use those in an intensive way and they haven't brake or degraded, at least I give them one more year I hope. And if they brake during these months I will purchase another couple.
Memory foam tips: they work great, the bad side is that they are not cleanable, but if you have clean ears that won't be a problem, I'm sure there are better memory foam tips out there, but haven't found any with better rating (at least in Amazon Mexico)
Hope this helps.
PS: I noticed that the ear wingtips you shared are for buds, not for buds pro 2, I say this because maybe that is why they felt so uncomfortable to you.
