I use this with mine:
Nekteck 100W USB C Charger [GaN... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MD9HJG6?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Works great and it’s much smaller/more compact. It’s probably about the size or smaller than a 60w 2015 MBP 13” charger.
If you want more ports/flexibility, go for the Anker Nano, but this is an affordable option. They give you a USB C able + it’s 10% off now too.
You need a charger with PD (power delivery) support.
As you said you did use USB2 and3 cables, then it means your chargers are not PD, as it works only with USB-C cables on both sides.
Something like this : https://www.amazon.com/Nekteck-Charger-Certified-Foldable-Compatible/dp/B09MD9HJG6/ref=sr_1_3?crid=2SPA6ABAINX3X&keywords=pd+100w&qid=1675003632&sprefix=pd+100w%2Caps%2C304&sr=8-3
This is the charger I’m using: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09MD9HJG6
And I don’t care if I get 100 watts out of the hub. 80 or 85 would be great. But 65 is a bit too limiting
