Hi, this sub is more for sharing controllable IP cameras, but I actually have some expertise in this field.

I previously had to do a weekly YouTube broadcast of a speaker on a stage at a long distance, with a very low budget. We determined the best value no-BS option was the cheapest 1080p camcorder you can find from a reputable brand (Canon, Sony, Panasonic, etc), plus an Elgato Cam Link USB capture card (turning any HDMI input into a virtual webcam input, compatible with any Zoom or similar software, at full quality). These standard consumer camcorders usually have exceptional zoom and decent video quality.

Fair warning: Most of these consumer camcorders won't have a normal line-input for audio, so it is assumed that you are okay with the cruddy onboard mics, or have a separate audio source/microphone(s) to use. Some of these will take a direct microphone input and you could add a cheap shotgun mic for example.

Example Camcorders:

(Don't forget a cheap tripod!)

You may have luck getting a used camcorder on eBay - the only thing that matters is if it has a clean HDMI output (meaning no on screen display elements - it's just showing the raw video feed). Most consumer camcorders with an HDMI output meet this requirement, though for example some DSLR's may not (or you may have other issues with DSLR's like the Live View output being cut after 15min due to overheating or firmware limitations - same with mirrorless cameras).

Let me know if you have any other questions.

i feel like it's relatively illegal to share

this might not be the right way but - i connected my record player to an RCA [white/red audio] - HDMI converter, then took the HDMI signal into a capture card and recorded the audio
