I would recommend returning them if you're planning on using them for production. I am not too well-versed in headphones but I do know that Bose headphones tend to be heavily EQ'd. This is a problem because you won't be able to hear what your song actually sounds like when you're mixing. I have a pair of Sennheiser HD-25-1 II that costed $199. I use these for mixing and love them.
